Fly Fishing

TIEMPO DE PESCA

It is a business set up by professional fishing guides who offer excursions to cater for varying tastes.

Modalities: Trolling, spinning and fly casting.

WADING

Wading down a river seems to be the ideal experience for experts as well as for beginners who are interested in learning to fly cast. The numerous rivers of the region offer the possibility of fishing brown trout, rainbow and the struggling brook trout. Among those rivers are the Chimehuín, whose mouth is internationally famous for its particularly large brown trout; Malleo river is known for its numerous and fine trout; Quilquihue and Meliquina guarantee fun fishing trips; and Caleufu produces a wide variety which sometimes includes catching salmon.

FLOATING TRIPS

They consist of going fishing floating down rivers by means of pneumatic rafts or sailing the lakes where motor boats are not allowed. Floating is practised in the rivers Collón Curá, Caleufu, Aluminé and Chimehuín, or the lakes Queñi and Filo Hua Hum.

SAILING

Trips on motor boats are highly recommended for all kinds of fishers since the three modalities can be practised this way, especially trolling which is the most effective because it requires the lure to be constantly in the water. We offer sailing trips around Lácar and Nonthué lakes where you can find a rich and varied ichthyic population.
